Select is the modern choice for intra-oral X-Rays, capable of performing both traditional and digital sensor exposures. The standard wall mounted version includes a stable double-joined arm mounted on an 80 cm swivel extension (other sizes are available on request). This provides a large operational area whilst achieving neat storage into a small space.
The 70 kV monobloc houses an X-ray tube with grid and a focal spot of 0,8 x 0,8 mm. The monobloc is fitted with a positioning handle allowing comfortable 360° rotation on its horizontal axis and 330° on its vertical axis.
The beam collimator is completely insulated along its 20 cm length and has an output field size of 6 cm. Select has a microprocessor –controlled timer, with a clear digital display of exposure parameters. The operator station also allows anatomical selection, with a simple pictorial indication of tooth position. Exposure times automatically adjust according to tooth type and patient weight. There is 3 selections available: small. medium, large. Manual correction is available for firm sensitivity.
The select has advanced functional design features including automatic self-test on power-up and exposure compensation for stable X-ray emission regardless of mains line fluctuation. An exposure limits for X-ray tube cooling between films, hence protecting and prolonging working life. The SELECT is manufactured in accordance with current regulations.
